    Buying Guide

    Puppy Size

Not all puppies are the same. Some start out as quite large when you bring them home after a few months, and others will have already outgrown their bed and collar after a few weeks.

So, if you have a smaller or larger than average puppy, look for a bed dedicated to their size. Also double-check the dimensions of everything included, such as the bed and toys.

    Price

With a kit such as this, it can usually save you some money vs buying it all separately.

The price for a puppy starter kit can start at around £20, but for this, it is likely you will only get a few basics such as a bowl, some toys and training pads. It will all still be great quality, but you’ll probably have to buy some extras such as a bed and collar.

But, if you go to the upper end of the scale, you will get more for your money (and you’ll probably get some big brands too). Some can be over £100, but the price of everything would set you back more, and you will get pretty much everything you need bar food.

    Individual Items

No two puppy kits are usually the same. You may already have a bed, so only need a box with bowls and toys. Or, maybe you have the essentials and just want something fun.

As well as looking at what you get, also look at brands. Spending that bit more could get you some of the most commonly available brands and items, but cheaper boxes may only offer less reliable brands.

    Other Buyers Ask...

What do I need in my puppy starter kit?

No puppy kit includes absolutely everything, and there may be a few products which aren’t suitable for your dog, but look for one which includes a good chunk of what you are still yet to buy.
